Who are sellers?

Each shop on Afri Pearl Collections is independent. Shop owners (or “sellers”) are independent micro-businesses who create or curate their own inventory and manage their own orders.

Contacting a seller through Messages is the best way to get information about an item, or after your purchase, resolve any issues you may have had with your order. Each seller on Afri Pearl Collections manages their own orders, and makes decisions about cancellations, refunds, and returns. Learn more about getting help with your order.

How to contact a shop before buying

The seller wasn’t able to help me. If the seller is unable to help you, your next step is to open a case about your order. Choose your order, then select Open a case at the bottom of the page. Learn more about cases on Afri Pearl Collections.

I checked out as a guest

If you checked out as a guest, you can claim your order to get help.

To claim an order you purchased as a guest

1. Open your email inbox.

2. Locate the email receipt you received when you placed your order. This email is sent from syrillkizza@gmail.com.

3. Select View your order.

4. Follow the steps to sign in or create an Afri Pearl Collections account. The account you link your guest order to must have the same email address that you used for your guest order. Your order is automatically connected to your Afri Pearl Collections account.

5. Once you’ve claimed your order, you can choose that order and contact the seller for help.

How to Track Your Afri Pearl Collections Order

You can check the delivery status of your order on Afri Pearl Collections.com or the Afri Pearl Collections app. If the seller added tracking information, you can check when your order should arrive.

With the Afri Pearl Collections app, you can get updates when your order is dispatched and, even better, when it’s delivered. Download the app

To track your purchase:

1. Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com and go to Your account, or sign in to the Afri Pearl Collections app and go to You. If you don’t have an Afri Pearl Collections account, learn how to track your order.

2. Go to Purchases and reviews.

3. Find your order. On the Afri Pearl Collections app, tap your order.

4. You’ll see the delivery status to the right of your order:

• Not Dispatched: The seller hasn’t dispatched the order yet or didn’t update the order on Afri Pearl Collections.

• Dispatched: The seller marked the order as dispatched.

• In Transit: The seller added a tracking number and the package has left the delivery facility.

• Track package: If the seller added a tracking number, you’ll see Track Package. Click Track Package to see more tracking updates.

You can also see delivery information in the dispatch notification emails for your order. Click Track Package in the email notification to view the status of your delivery.

Why wasn’t tracking information provided for my order?

Not all delivery methods include tracking information. You can contact the shop to see if they have tracking information for your order.

Where’s my order?

Track your order without an Afri Pearl Collections account

If you purchased using guest checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email once your order has dispatched. If your seller has included a tracking number, you can click Track your package at the top of the email.

If you have any questions for your seller, contact them by replying to the receipt that was emailed to you after purchase.

How we’re protecting the marketplace

To protect the Afri Pearl Collections community against receiving false medical information, our Trust and Safety team is actively monitoring and taking down listings related to COVID-19 that are against Afri Pearl Collections’ policies. This includes items that claim to protect against COVID-19/Coronavirus or otherwise make medical or health claims.

While sellers may make and sell handmade masks and other supplemental items, they must be transparent about their products, the standards they follow, and their making process. Under Afri Pearl Collections policies they may not represent their items as medical devices. Nor may sellers on Afri Pearl Collections advertise their products as designed or intended to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose or cure any disease or health condition.

If you think you see a shop or listing that is violating our policies, you can flag it for our review.

If your order is delayed or you encounter a problem with your order, please message your seller to ask for more information before contacting Afri Pearl Collections. The seller may be able to give you an updated timeline for your order.

We ask that you have extra patience at this time, since many sellers in our community are facing disruptions in their usual routines that may cause some unpredictability when it comes to fulfilling orders.

Delivery carriers may be experiencing delays which may cause sellers to experience an inability to timely obtain materials. Sellers may also experience delays due to an unprecedented volume of orders for certain items. You can check the status of your order, including delivery updates on the Purchases page on Afri Pearl Collections.com or on the Afri Pearl Collections app. If you have questions about your order status, you can contact the seller:

How to check your order status

To check the status of your order:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com and go to Your account. On the Afri Pearl Collections app, sign in and tap You.

2.            Select Purchases and reviews.

3.            Find your order on the Purchases page. On the app, tap your order to view it.

4.            Next to your order, you’ll see the delivery status:

•             Not Dispatched – The seller hasn’t dispatched the order yet or didn’t update the order on Afri Pearl Collections. You can contact the seller to check in on the order status.

•             Dispatched – The seller marked the order as dispatched. You can track your order if you have a tracking number. Learn more about tracking your order.

•             In Transit – You can track your order if you have a tracking number. Learn more about tracking your order.

If you have questions about the status of your order, you can contact your seller. If you need help with an order, the seller you purchased your order from is the best person to help you.

How to Search for Items and Shops on Afri Pearl Collections

You can use the search bar at the top of Afri Pearl Collections.com to look for items or shops.

How to search for items

Enter descriptive terms in the search bar to start your search. For example: “rustic blue coffee mug”, or “custom charm necklace”.

Search results are ordered by how relevant the items are to what you search for. You can change the order of your search results with the Sort by option above the search results.

Here are a few tips to help you search for items on Afri Pearl Collections:

•             Use multiple, descriptive terms in a search to narrow down the results. For example: “green knit scarf” will return fewer, more specific results than just “scarf”.

•             Use a minus sign (-) in front of a word to exclude that term from your search. For example: “dress -red” will exclude any dresses tagged with “red”.

How to filter results

On the left side of every search results page, you’ll see a list of filters to narrow down your results by:

•             Special offers, like sales

•             Category, like Home & Living or Art & Collectibles

•             Delivery, like free delivery

•             Shop location

•             Item type, either Handmade or Vintage items

•             Price

•             Colour

•             Ordering options

•             “Deliver to” country

How to search for items from local sellers

After you search for something, click Custom under Shop location. Type in your city, town, state, or country and select your location from the dropdown. Your search results will refresh and only show you items from shops in the location you chose.

How to search for shops

If you know the name of the shop, enter the exact shop name in the search bar. You’ll be brought directly to the shop. You can also use the shop search page.

Entering this web address in your browser’s address bar will also take you to a shop: https://www.Afri Pearl Collections.com/shop/shopname. Replace “shopname” with the actual shop’s name.

If you know the shop owner’s name, you can search for them using people search.

How to Buy an Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card

Give someone the gift of something special with an Afri Pearl Collections gift card. An Afri Pearl Collections gift card works like cash on Afri Pearl Collections.com.

To buy an Afri Pearl Collections gift card:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click Gift cards at the bottom of any page.

3.            Fill out the information requested, including your name, the recipient’s name, and the amount you want to gift. Gift cards are available for $25, $50, $100, and $250 USD.

4.            Choose a delivery method:

•             Emailed to recipient: The recipient receives the gift card in their email inbox. Custom designs are only available for this option. The recipient receives the card as soon as you check out.

•             Printable (emailed to you): You receive the gift card in your email inbox. You can print the gift card and give it to the recipient whenever you want!

5.            Add the email address you want to send the card to.

6.            Click Add to basket.

7.            When you’re ready to checkout, click Proceed to checkout and complete your purchase.

You can’t purchase an Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card and check out from another shop in the same transaction. If you have other items in your basket, you can purchase them in a separate transaction.

You must have an Afri Pearl Collections account to purchase an Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card. Learn how to create an Afri Pearl Collections account.

When you purchase a gift card, follow these guidelines:

•             The “To” or “From” field must be no more than 25 characters in length

•             The message to the recipient must be no more than 5 lines in length

•             There can’t be any special characters or emojis in the text

For buyers in the EEA

If you’re in the EEA, which comprises the EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, you may be asked to authenticate your payment after you click Place your order.

To authenticate a payment, you’ll need to respond to a prompt from your card issuer and provide additional information. Depending on your card issuer, this additional information may include a correct response to a question, a password, or a passcode.

My recipient hasn’t received their gift card. What do I do?

If your recipient hasn’t received their gift card, you can find the gift card code in your account.

To find the gift card code:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click the You icon.

3.            Click Purchases and reviews.

4.            Next to the gift card, click Print. The code will be on the printout of the gift card and will look like this: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

If you purchased an e-gift card and want to re-send the gift card to your recipient, click Contact support at the bottom of this page and include your order number.

I sent the gift card to the wrong email address, what can I do?

We’re unable to change the recipient email address for a gift card, but you can access a print version of the gift card from your Afri Pearl Collections account. 

To find the gift card:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click the You icon.

3.            Click Purchases and reviews.

4.            Next to the gift card, click Print. You can print the gift card, or save the print version and email it to the recipient.

If you’d prefer to cancel the gift card, click Contact support at the bottom of this page and include your order number. 

How do I print my gift card?

If you purchased a print gift card, click Print Your Gift Card on your order confirmation email. This will take you to a page that you can print from your Internet browser.

You can also print your gift card by visiting the Purchases and reviews page of your Afri Pearl Collections account. Find your gift card order and click the link to print.

You can also print your gift card from Afri Pearl Collections.com:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click the You icon.

3.            Click Purchases and reviews.

4.            Next to the gift card, click Print.

If your gift card isn’t loading properly, make sure you have Adobe Acrobat installed and try these troubleshooting steps. 

How do I cancel a gift card?

An Afri Pearl Collections gift card can only be cancelled and refunded if the balance hasn’t been used on a purchase. To request a gift card cancellation, click Contact support at the bottom of this page and include your order number in your request.

How do I buy multiple gift cards?

After you add a gift card to your basket, click Add another gift card. You can repeat this as many times as you need.

If you want to purchase more than $50,000 USD in gift cards, click Contact support at the bottom of this page and we’ll be happy to help. For bulk orders over $50,000 USD, we can provide gift cards in these formats:

•             A set of redeem codes

•             A PDF file of printable paper cards

•             We can email the gift cards to a single specific email address

We don’t offer physical plastic cards at this time.

Notes about gift cards

•             Afri Pearl Collections Gift Cards are currently available in United States dollars (USD), British pounds (GBP), Canadian dollars (CAD), Australian dollars (AUD), and Euros (EUR). 

•             Afri Pearl Collections Gift Cards issued in GBP, AUD, and EUR expire 48 months from the date the Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card is purchased. The expiration date for each Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card is included in the email sent to the recipient.

•             You can’t use a prepaid credit card or PayPal to purchase an Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card.  

•             By purchasing, redeeming, or accepting an Afri Pearl Collections Gift Card, you’re agreeing to Afri Pearl Collections’ gift card policy and Terms of Use.

Change a Wrong Delivery Address on an Order

If you moved and forgot to update your Afri Pearl Collections account, or you misspelt the address to send a gift to, don’t worry! You can change to the correct address for your order before it’s dispatched, as long as the new address is not in a different country.

Change the delivery address after you placed an order

If you placed an order with an incorrect delivery address, first check that your order hasn’t dispatched yet:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click the Your account > Purchases and reviews.

3.            To the right of your order, you’ll see either dispatched or Not Dispatched:

My order is Not Dispatched yet

If your item is Not Dispatched yet, you can contact the shop to update your address on the order or cancel your order. You can then re-order the items with the correct delivery address.

My order was already Dispatched

If your item is Dispatched, check the seller’s policies to see if they are able to offer a replacement or refund. Each seller has their own policies that are on their shop homepage. Contact the shop to request a replacement or refund.

You can also contact the delivery service to see if they can reroute the order.

If your package is missing, most delivery services require that the sender open a claim. If this is the case, you may need to ask the seller to assist you.

Change the delivery address during checkout

You can update your address when you checkout on Afri Pearl Collections.com:

1.            Add an item(s) to your basket.

2.            Click Basket.

3.            Choose how you’ll pay.

4.            Click Proceed to checkout.

5.            Sign in to your Afri Pearl Collections account if you haven’t already, or click Continue as a guest.

6.            Under Delivery address, check that the address you want your order dispatched to is correct. If it isn’t correct, click Change.

7.            Select a delivery address or click Add an address to enter a new address. Click Dispatch here once you have the right address.

8.            Click Place your order.

Change the delivery address to a different country

If you need the delivery address on your order changed to a one in a different country, you’ll have to cancel your order and place it again with your new address.

To purchase an item on Afri Pearl Collections:

1.            Find an item you want to purchase on Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Choose the options you want for that item, if applicable.

3.            Click Add to basket.

4.            Take any of these optional steps:

o             Add a note to the seller.

o             If the item is a gift, check the box next to This order is a gift.

o             If you have one, apply shop coupon codes. Coupon codes are unique to specific Afri Pearl Collections shops.

5.            Choose your preferred payment method under How you’ll pay.

6.            Click Proceed to checkout.

o             If you’re signed in to your Afri Pearl Collections account, confirm your delivery address and payment details.

o             If you’re checking out as a guest, click Continue as a guest. Fill in your delivery and payment details. There are benefits to creating an Afri Pearl Collections account before buying, but there are some purchases that you can make using guest checkout.

7.            Review your order to check that your information and order are correct.

8.            Click Place your order.

If you purchased a digital file that’s available for instant download, you can access the file from your Purchases and reviews page. You’ll also receive a separate email with a download link.

How to Become a Star Seller

To become a Star Seller, your shop must meet certain criteria for messages, dispatch, ratings, orders, and sales.

The Star Seller badge is our way of recognizing sellers with a proven record of providing a great customer experience. To become a Star Seller, your shop must meet certain criteria for messages, dispatch, ratings, orders, and sales.

If these core fundamentals of delivering great customer service are achieved, your shop may receive a badge that shows buyers you consistently provide an excellent customer experience.

How your shop is evaluated for the Star Seller badge

Messages, dispatch, ratings, orders, and sales are calculated to determine Star Seller. In order to be evaluated, you need to have been on Afri Pearl Collections’ platform for 90 days since your first sale and comply with our Seller Policy.

How often will my shop be evaluated?

Star Seller eligibility will be calculated on the 1st of every month.

What time period is my shop being evaluated for?

When evaluating shops for Star Seller, we’ll look at the last 3 months of data prior to the review date.

Does a Star Seller badge affect my search ranking?

At this time, Star Seller doesn’t directly impact your search ranking.

How to track your progress toward becoming a Star Seller

You can see how close you are to earning Star Seller in your Star Seller dashboard:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com and go to Shop Manager.

2.            Select the Star Seller tab.

3.            You’ll see two tabs: Current review period and Last review period. Your current review period is your performance toward Star Seller this month. Your last review period is what determines if you currently have the Star Seller badge.

Using this dashboard, you can track your progress across five areas related to delivering an excellent customer experience. Select an area to learn more:

Message response rate

The Message response rate section of your Star Seller dashboard shows information about your response time in Afri Pearl Collections Messages.

You’ll see what percentage of buyer-initiated messages received a response to their initial message within 24 hours. Responding to 95% of your messages within 24 hours can help you become a Star Seller.

The Message response rate only applies to the first message in a conversation with a buyer.

What happens if I mark a message that I’ve already replied to as unread?

Marking a message as unread after you’ve replied to it doesn’t restart the 24-hour response time window and doesn’t make the message you’ve replied to “new” again.

What happens if I receive a message that I consider is spam?

Messages marked as spam don’t count towards your response rate.

What if I can’t respond to a message within 24 hours?

If you can’t respond to messages within 24 hours, you have a few options:

•             You can set up an auto-reply.

•             Use Saved Replies to respond quickly to questions you get commonly asked.

•             Download the Sell on Afri Pearl Collections app to respond to messages on the go.

•             Go on Holiday mode if you’re taking a break from selling on Afri Pearl Collections.

On-time dispatch & tracking

The On-time dispatch & tracking section shows a percentage of how many orders were dispatched on time. On-time dispatch means that orders were dispatched according to the processing times you set in your listing description. You can also see a breakdown of your shop’s dispatch performance. Star Seller is about meeting customers’ expectations, and these vary according to each market. Dispatching at least 95% of your orders on time with tracking can help you become a Star Seller. Orders of a certain value will need to have tracking or a postage label purchased on Afri Pearl Collections. The requirement values are based on currency. For certain currencies, tracking is not required. Those orders should be manually marked as complete by the dispatch by date:

GBP       £10 and above

EUR        €10 and above

CAD       $15 and above

AUD       $15 and above

All other currencies (inclusive of USD)    Tracking or a postage label purchased on Afri Pearl Collections required for all orders.

On time dispatch & tracking will be reviewed on sales of physical items only. Digital download orders aren’t taken into account for on time dispatch & tracking for Star Seller.

What if I created my digital downloads as physical items because they are custom?

If an order includes items listed as a physical item and meets the value requirement, tracking or a postage label purchased on Afri Pearl Collections will be required. Since digital listings listed as physical items are not actually dispatched, orders for these listings will negatively impact your Star Seller dispatch metric

If you offer custom digital items in your shop, instead of listing as “physical”, you can upload a placeholder file to the listing.

We recommend listing items as digital items when listing your digital download items. Listings categorised as digital items will not be counted towards your delivery stats in the Star Seller dashboard at all. 

5-star ratings

In the 5-star ratings section, you can see the percentage of your shop’s reviews that received 5 stars over a period of time. The goal is for 95%+ of orders to have 5-star ratings.

Orders

The Orders section shows the number of orders you have completed within a Star Seller review period.

To be a Star Seller, you need to have received and fulfilled at least 10 orders within a review period. Orders that are cancelled will not be counted toward Star Seller. This section will not appear in your dashboard if you’ve already met the 10-order minimum.

Sales

The Sales section calculates the sales you made within the latest review period. This will not include postage or any additional taxes collected. The items sold must meet certain thresholds, shown in the table below, within a review period. Cancelled orders aren’t counted. This section won’t appear in your dashboard if you have already met the sales criteria.

What if I’m having trouble providing customer service?

You will not be penalized for not achieving Star Seller status, but we expect sellers to uphold the customer service expectations in our Service Level Standards.

I’ve achieved the metrics for a Star Seller badge, but I don’t see one on my shop

To become a Star Seller, your shop must comply with all of Afri Pearl Collections’ policies. If your shop earned a Star Seller badge but no longer meets the requirements for the programme, we may remove the badge. In accordance with the Star Seller Terms, the following may result in temporary or permanent disqualification from the programme:

•             your shop no longer meets the qualification criteria

•             your shop has an overdue bill

•             your account privileges were limited

•             your account violated our Terms of Use, including and not limited to our Seller Policy

•             we have reason to believe you attempted to falsely inflate your Star Seller stats

If your Star Seller badge was removed because of an overdue bill, you may be able to reinstate your Star Seller badge by paying your bill.

How to Offer a Free Delivery Guarantee

Added postage costs can get in the way of buyers making a purchase. To better meet US buyers’ expectations when it comes to postage price, you can set up a free delivery guarantee for your shop. A free delivery guarantee lets shoppers in the US know that they won’t pay added postage costs on orders totaling 35 USD or over that are delivered within or to the US.

Guarantee free delivery

As of July 30, 2021, items that are delivered for free and shops that offer free delivery on orders $35 or more to US shoppers will be prioritized in US search to help US shoppers to find more items that are delivered for free within the US.

I already offer free delivery; how does this guarantee affect my shop?

How to set up a free delivery guarantee for your shop

To set up a free delivery guarantee in your shop:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click the Shop Manager icon.

2.            Click Settings.

3.            Click Delivery settings.

4.            Click Get started in the Free delivery guarantee tab.

5.            Click Next.

6.            Click Set free delivery.

After you set up a free delivery guarantee you have the option to reprice items in your shop to recover postage costs. You can use the optional smart pricing tool to adjust the prices of your items. How you determine and set prices for your shop is your decision.

No, setting up a free delivery guarantee for your shop is not required.

Items that are delivered for free and shops that have a free delivery guarantee will get priority placement in US searches to help US shoppers to find more items that are delivered for free within the US.

If I set up a free delivery guarantee, does it apply to my entire shop?

Yes. The free delivery guarantee will make all listings in your shop eligible to be delivered for free if a US buyer’s basket value (excluding applicable taxes) totals 35 USD or more. It will also apply the guarantee to new listings in your shop.

How does this guarantee work for buyers outside of the US?

A free delivery guarantee only applies to US shoppers whose delivery address is in the US. If you turn on a free delivery guarantee, your postage prices for buyers in other countries will be whatever is currently reflected in your delivery profiles or on your individual listings.

You can choose to offer free delivery to any buyers that you want to, like buyers in your country, or to all buyers around the world.

Items with free delivery will get priority placement in US search. However, Afri Pearl Collections search for buyers outside of the US won’t be affected.

Does a free delivery guarantee apply to delivery upgrades?

No, if a buyer chooses to purchase a delivery upgrade, they will be charged for the upgraded delivery service.

What orders qualify for a free delivery guarantee?

Orders from US buyers that total 35 USD or more qualify for the free delivery guarantee. The order total doesn’t include taxes or the postage price a buyer would pay if their order doesn’t meet the 35 USD threshold.

My shop currency is something other than USD. How does a free delivery guarantee work in my currency?

If you offer a free delivery guarantee, it will always apply to US buyers who spend 35 USD or more for one order from your shop, no matter what the exchange rate is, or what your shop currency is.

Can I turn off the free delivery guarantee in my shop? 

I already offer free delivery to the US. How does a free delivery guarantee affect my shop and listings?

If you already offer free delivery to the US, you’re already meeting buyers’ expectations.

To get priority placement in US search results, you have to offer free delivery to buyers in the US in one of these ways:

•             Through a free delivery guarantee

•             Through offering free delivery to US buyers on your listings

Free delivery must be automatically applied to a listing for it to receive priority placement in search. This means that your free delivery sale isn’t conditional: it doesn’t require the buyer to purchase a certain number of items or a certain basket minimum to qualify for free delivery.

I offer a free delivery sale with a minimum order quantity. Will my items get priority placement in search?

You won’t get priority placement in US search with a free delivery sale with a minimum order quantity. To get priority placement in US search, you can offer unconditional free delivery to US buyers on your listings or set up a free delivery guarantee.

Can I set up a free delivery guarantee and keep my free delivery sale with a minimum order amount to qualify?

If you set up a free delivery guarantee for US buyers, you can run a conditional free delivery sale. However, this sale won’t show for US buyers, who instead will see the free delivery guarantee.

If you want to run a conditional free delivery sale that works for US buyers, you can turn off your free delivery guarantee while you run the sale.

How to Manage Your Payment Account

You can manage your shop finances in the Payment account in Shop Manager. In your Payment account, you can pay your amount due and schedule the deposits of available Afri Pearl Collections Payment sales funds.

To review your Payment account:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Finances.

3.            Click Payment account.

How your payment account works

If you’re enrolled in Afri Pearl Collections Payments, your fees are automatically deducted from your sales. This means that at any time, you’ll only have a value in either your amount due or your amount available for deposit.

If you aren’t enrolled in Afri Pearl Collections Payments, your fees will appear in your Amount due. Your sales funds will be processed through the payment method you use.

How to pay your amount due

Your amount due is how much you owe from last month’s activities on Afri Pearl Collections. If your current balance is negative at the end of the month, you’ll have an amount due on the first of the following month.

If you have an amount due and you receive an Afri Pearl Collections Payments sale, your amount due will decrease by the net amount of the sale. If your sales are more than your amount due or you pay your full amount due, your amount due will be zero.

You can pay your amount due between the 1st and 15th of the month. To pay your amount due:

1.            Click Pay now under Amount due.

2.            Select the amount you’d like to pay.

3.            Choose your payment method.

4.            Click Submit Payment.

If you’re in the EEA

If you’re in the EEA, which comprises the EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, you may be asked to authenticate your payment when you click Submit Payment.

To authenticate a payment, you will need to respond to a prompt from your card issuer and provide additional information. Depending on your card issuer, this additional information may include a correct response to a question, a password, or a passcode.

Can I automatically pay my amount due?

If your shop is located in the US, you can enroll in auto billing to automatically pay your amount due each month.

Available for deposit

Your Available for deposit is your available sales funds minus refunds, fees and taxes, and any funds that have been placed in a reserve. If you have an amount due, or a negative balance, you won’t have funds available for deposit. Learn how to reconcile your deposit.

If you have funds available for deposit, you’ll see when your funds will automatically deposit into your bank account based on your disbursement schedule. Or, you can click Request it now to have your funds deposited the next day, as long as you meet any applicable deposit minimums.

If you aren’t enrolled in Afri Pearl Collections Payments, you won’t have an amount available for deposit because your payments are processed through a different payment method.

Sales & Credits

Your Sales & Credits total is your net Afri Pearl Collections Payments sales total. This is your Afri Pearl Collections Payments sales minus payment processing fees and taxes collected by Afri Pearl Collections.

You can see the details of your Sales & Credits for the month in your monthly statement CSV:

1.            In your Shop Manager, click Settings.

2.            Click Options.

3.            Click Download Data.

4.            Select your preferred CSV Type.

5.            Select the month you’re interested in.

6.            Click Generate CSV. You’ll receive an email when the CSV file is ready.

7.            Click Take me to download in the email.

8.            Click CSV to download your CSV file.

9.            Filter the Type by Sale.

10.          Sum the Net column.

Fees & Taxes

The Fees & Taxes total shows your fees and taxes for the time range you selected. It includes fees for listing items, receiving sales, marketing your shop and taxes collected by the seller and VAT collected by Afri Pearl Collections on selling fees. Learn more about Afri Pearl Collections fees.

You can see the details of your Fees & Taxes for the month in your monthly statement CSV:

1.            In your Shop Manager, click Settings.

2.            Click Options.

3.            Click Download Data.

4.            Select your preferred CSV Type.

5.            Select the month you’re interested in.

6.            Click Generate CSV. You’ll receive an email when the CSV file is ready.

7.            Click Take me to download in the email.

8.            Click CSV to download your CSV file.

9.            Filter by Type and Title.

10.          Sum the Fees & Taxes column for each type of fee.

The Fees & Taxes total does not include tax collected and remitted by Afri Pearl Collections from buyers: sales tax in these US states, import tax, and VAT on digital items.

If you refund an Afri Pearl Collections Payments sale, you’ll see the fee credits associated with the sale. However, for other payment methods, you must cancel a sale to receive credits for the related fees.

Recent activities

Your Recent activities show the 30 most recent activities in your Payment account. To see all activities in your shop, view your monthly statements.

In your Recent activities, you can see the:

•             Date: The date this charge or transaction took place.

•             Type: The category of activity, like VAT, Transaction, Sale, Listing, etc.

•             Description: The specific activity. This can show the item sold or the activity that incurred tax or fees.

•             Amount: The amount of money you made or refunded for this activity.

•             Fees & Taxes: The fees and taxes incurred by this activity. Learn more about fees.

•             Net: This is the gross amount of the sale minus fees and taxes.

•             Balance: The net (sale amount minus fees and/or taxes) of the specific line item.

•             Current balance: This is your running net balance of all activity in your Payment account. It may not match your Available for deposit, as it may include sales not yet available for deposit. Learn when sales funds become available.

Monthly statements

Your monthly statements show a summary of your Sales & Credits and Fees & Taxes in a particular time range. Select the time range from the dropdown.

To see your statement for a particular month:

1.            Click View all monthly statements at the bottom of the page.

2.            Select the year and month you’re interested in.

From your monthly statement, you can generate a CSV or download a VAT statement for that month by clicking Generate CSV or VAT, respectively. If you were credited VAT during the month, you can download the Credit note by clicking Download.

If you’re new to Afri Pearl Collections, take some time to get to know us. Review our seller policies and learn about fees for selling on Afri Pearl Collections to make sure that selling on Afri Pearl Collections is right for you and your business.

Open your shop

Before you create your shop, sign in or create an Afri Pearl Collections account. You’ll use this account to run your shop and to buy from other makers on Afri Pearl Collections. After creating your account, add your profile picture and bio to let other people in the Afri Pearl Collections community know who you are.

 To open your Afri Pearl Collections shop:

1.            Click Sell on Afri Pearl Collections at the top right of Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click Open your Afri Pearl Collections shop.

3.            Select your shop language, country, and currency, then click Save and continue.

4.            Choose your shop name, then click Save and continue.

You need to complete the first step of opening your shop on a desktop web browser. Once your shop is open, you can manage your shop on the Sell on Afri Pearl Collections app.

Do I need a business licence to sell on Afri Pearl Collections?

Afri Pearl Collections doesn’t require sellers to have a business licence to sell on Afri Pearl Collections.

However, when selling on Afri Pearl Collections you’re required to follow any laws that apply to you as a small business selling online. If you have any questions regarding which laws apply to you, please contact a qualified professional.

Finish your shop setup

Once you’ve signed up to sell on Afri Pearl Collections, there are a few steps you need to take to complete your shop setup and prepare to start selling items. Like any online business, you should think through key factors in your selling workflow. Consider things like production time, policies, and your plan for delivery.

•             Banner and shop logo: Upload clear photos that represent the style of your brand and make a strong first impression on shoppers.

•             Shop announcement: Share a brief welcome message with shoppers.

How does Afri Pearl Collections search work?

When a member searches for an item on Afri Pearl Collections, Afri Pearl Collections’ search algorithm works to return the most relevant matches. Details of this algorithm change regularly so we can help buyers find what they’re looking for.

Sellers control the most important factors in Afri Pearl Collections Search placement. Please read on to learn what Afri Pearl Collections Search looks for, and what you can do to help improve how buyers find your shop.

Factors in Afri Pearl Collections’ search placement

The following factors combine to determine which items appear and the order (or placement) in which those items are displayed. Keep in mind that these factors are not equally weighted to determine the order of the results.

Tag and title relevancy

Items in Afri Pearl Collections’ search results must match the buyer’s search word or phrase. Items that do not match a buyer’s search won’t be included in results.

For example, the search “banana backpack” will only return items that match both “banana” and “backpack” in either the listing tags or titles.

Once the search algorithm finds all of the items that match the search, we also use keywords to determine the order of those results.

•             Exact phrase matches are stronger than matches on individual words. For example, a search for “banana backpack” would return all items with the words “banana” and “backpack” in the tags or title, but items with “banana backpack” in the title would be considered a closer match.

•             If a word or phrase in a buyer’s search appears in both the title and tags of a listing, the search algorithm considers that listing more relevant than a listing with that word or phrase in the tags or title alone.

•             Words at the beginning of titles are considered more important than words at the end.

Item attribute relevancy

The key information provided in item attributes is considered in Afri Pearl Collections search, similar to keywords in item tags and titles.

When using attributes, select as many accurate attributes as each item has available. This will maximize your item’s exposure in search results.

Listing quality

To show items that buyers are likely to purchase, Afri Pearl Collections’ search algorithm also considers how well individual items tend to do in search. We call this “listing quality.”

If a buyer clicks, favorites, or purchases an item after they’ve seen it in search results, that action contributes to the listing’s quality score.

Note: New shops and listings have a neutral quality score, which has no impact on placement.

Customer & market experience

We want buyers to have a great experience when they purchase from a seller on Afri Pearl Collections. Because of this, we consider a shop’s record of customer service and whether it’s in good standing according to Afri Pearl Collections’ policies.

Great reviews, completed About section, and completed shop policies can all help your placement in search. Using the shop policies template will also slightly improve your placement (FAQs and seller details are not factored). However, recent cases and past intellectual property infringement issues can have a negative effect. New shops have a neutral score, which has no impact on placement.

Recency

To keep search results fresh for frequent shoppers, Afri Pearl Collections’ search algorithm reviews how recently an item was listed or relisted.

Shop location

Many buyers from the EU, Australia, and Canada have told us that they like purchasing from sellers based in their own countries or neighboring countries.

To make local items slightly more prominent in search results in these specific countries, we take the location of the shop and the shopper into account. Searches made within other countries do not take shop location into account for search results.

Translation of listings in search

All your listing information, including titles and tags, needs to be in the shop language you chose when you signed up for selling on Afri Pearl Collections. For example, if your shop language is French, but you’ve written your tags in English, the tags will not help to bring up your items.

Afri Pearl Collections will automatically translate listings for you, or you can choose to translate yourself. Read more about translating into other languages.

To check your shop’s default listing language, click Manage languages on this page: Shop Manager > Settings > Languages and translations.

Improving the search factors in your shop

The steps you take in listing your items and maintaining your shop are the most important factors in getting your items found through search on Afri Pearl Collections.

Add more specific categories to your listings

Relevant categories display your items to the right buyers, so we encourage you to add more specific information to your listings. This will make it easier for buyers to find you.

Review your tags and titles

Make sure your attributes are accurate

•             Read over this Help article on attributes.

•             Be sure you’re selecting the best available and relevant attributes if your options don’t exactly match.

•             Use a combination of item tags and attributes to help show your items in a variety of searches.

Encourage shopper interaction

•             List your items with clear item photographs that invite a closer look.

•             Use the cropping tool, so your item thumbnail is correctly formatted.

Provide a positive customer experience

•             Complete your delivery profiles to represent processing times to your buyers accurately. Be sure to mark orders as dispatched to help buyers know when to expect their items.

Set realistic expectations

It’s important to set healthy limits when your attention is required elsewhere. Make sure that you have the time and resources to manage your shop before making commitments to your buyers. Think about how many orders you can complete in a day or a week, the supplies you have, and how much time you can spend on your shop. This can help you determine how many orders you can realistically fulfil.

Consider the resources you have access to and what may be impacted in the near future. Take the time to look for alternative resources to help keep your shop running smoothly.

Ask friends or family for help

If you run your shop on your own, consider training a trusted friend or family member to help remotely.

Communicate with your buyers

If you anticipate that you won’t be able to fulfil orders within your processing times for any reason, be transparent with your buyers. You should provide your buyers with detailed updates as often as possible.

You can let your buyers know about delays and when you plan to dispatch their orders through Messages.

Here’s an example of a message you can share with your buyer if you think the order may not arrive on time:

I wanted to keep you updated on the status of your order. Due to disruptions from COVID-19 and potential delivery carrier delays, there’s a chance your package may not arrive on the originally estimated date. Rest assured I’ll keep you updated along the way as I get new information from the carrier. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.

You can also edit your shop announcement with a general update to keep your current and potential buyers up to date. During COVID-19, we’ve temporarily moved this section to the top of your shop homepage.

If you’re in a position to continue accepting orders, edit your processing times to account for delays and accurately reflect the time you need to complete your orders.

If you’re unable to meet a buyer’s deadline or if they don’t agree to the changed timeline, you can refund and cancel the order.

It’s a good idea to have clear return policies in place. Review what you have and consider revising them to account for any new buyers that may come to your shop.

Manage deliveries from home

You may be experiencing restrictions in your area regarding trips outside of your home.

If you’re in the US, Australia, UK, or Canada, you can cut down on trips to printing centres and post offices by purchasing postage labels onAfri Pearl Collections.com, printing them at home, and scheduling a pickup from the delivery carrier or bringing them to a delivery carrier drop-off location (if available). See the available options for your country below:

Turn on Holiday Mode

Putting your shop in Holiday Mode will remove items from public view and prevent buyers from placing new orders. Holiday Mode is a good option if you have limited or no access to your shop. Please keep in mind that any open orders should be either fulfilled or refunded.

With holiday mode, you can set up an auto-reply for people who send you a Message, and shoppers can sign up to get a message when you return. You can customize your shop banner or cover photo and update your shop announcement to let everyone know you’re taking a break.

How we’re supporting you

We’re taking several steps to help the Afri Pearl Collections seller community.

We’ll invest $5 million USD in Offsite Ads credits

We know the importance of maintaining your momentum, so to help keep buyers coming to your shop, we will invest $5,000,000 USD through the end of April on Offsite Ads, which will promote your products on Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Bing at absolutely no cost to you.

Afri Pearl Collections is investing now in your growth, so you won’t see any charges for Offsite Ads until at least 1st May. Meaning, you’ll only pay an advertising fee on orders you receive from Offsite Ads if the shopper clicks the ad on or after 1st May.

If you’ve made less than $10,000 USD in the past 12 months, Offsite Ads is optional. However, we encourage you to give it a try during this time so you’ll get the benefits of off-Afri Pearl Collections advertising and an opportunity to grow your business.

Extra time to pay your bills

We’re providing all sellers with a one-month grace period, no questions asked, if they have an outstanding balance.

•             Fees will be deducted from your payment account as usual, but if you have an outstanding balance for March on 22nd April 2020, we won’t suspend your shop for an overdue payment and you won’t need to make a payment until the May 2020 billing cycle.

•             You may still see overdue balance notifications in your account, but you can disregard them.

•             If you’re enrolled in Auto billing, we won’t charge your card on file until 1st May 2020.

•             If you use standalone PayPal only and have either recently opened a shop, or have a shop that isn’t in good standing for reasons unrelated to COVID-19, the extension may not apply.

How to Turn on Holiday mode

With Holiday mode, you can take a break from managing your Afri Pearl Collections shop without worrying. To turn on Holiday Mode:

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click Shop Manager.

3.            Click Settings.

4.            Click Options.

5.            Click the Holiday Mode tab.

6.            Change the setting to On.

7.            Fill in a temporary shop announcement and Message auto-reply.

8.            Click Save.

Holiday Mode lets you put your shop on hold for a period of time, and is helpful if:

•             You’re temporarily unable to run your shop.

•             An emergency keeps you from being able to manage your shop.

•             You’re travelling or sick.

•             You need a quick break to catch up on current orders.

You can set an auto-reply that will be sent in response to any messages you receive while on holidays.

While your shop is on Holiday Mode

Your shop

•             A notice will appear at the top of your shop page saying that you’re taking a short break. The Add to basket button will be greyed out.

•             Your shop will still appear if someone searches for your exact shop name, but will not appear as an auto-suggestion in Search or other shopping tools.

•             Your items won’t appear in Search.

•             Other Afri Pearl Collections members who visit your shop can sign up to be notified by email of your return.

•             You’ll have access to your orders, cases, and Messages.

•             You can issue refunds, cancel orders, and print Afri Pearl Collections postage labels.

When your shop is in Holiday Mode, you still need to uphold your commitments as a seller to your buyers. Fulfilling sold orders or participating in any open cases will still be required.

Your listings

•             You can make edits to current listings the same as you would when your shop is not on holiday.

•             You can list new items and save them as drafts. You won’t be charged a listing fee until the listing is actually published once you return from your holidays.

•             If you have auto-renew turned on for listings in your shop, these listings set to auto-renew will continue to be charged a renewal fee when they expire.

Afri Pearl Collections Plus

•             If you have an Afri Pearl Collections Plus subscription, Holiday Mode does not impact your Afri Pearl Collections Plus billing. Your subscription fees will continue.

Holiday Mode for Pattern sites

•             If you put your Afri Pearl Collections shop in Holiday Mode, we’ll also display a Holiday Mode overlay on your Pattern site.

•             The overlay will show your holiday message, and can’t be closed by a buyer.

•             Buyers will also see a Contact Seller option in the overlay, where they can send a message to you.

•             Holiday Mode does not impact your Pattern site billing. Your subscription fees will continue.

How to turn off Holiday Mode

1.            Sign in to Afri Pearl Collections.com.

2.            Click Shop Manager.

3.            Click Settings.

4.            Choose Options.

5.            Click Holiday Mode.

6.            Change the option to Off.

7.            Click Save.

How to Use Afri Pearl Collections Stats for Your Shop

Afri Pearl Collections Stats provide you with data for your shop. With Stats, you can see how your shop is performing, where your traffic to your shop comes from and how shoppers are engaging with your listings.

If you’re new to Afri Pearl Collections Stats, take a look at our glossary of stats terms.

To see your Stats:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Stats.

Metrics overview

In your metrics overview, you can see your shop-level data. Click a metric to see its graph:

•             Visits

•             Orders

•             Conversion rate

•             Revenue

Use the dropdown at the top of the page to select the time period you want to see stats for. You can view your shop stats from November 2021 to the present.

If your shop has been open for more than a year, you can see your data compared to the previous year by toggling Compare to previous period on.

When you select a metric, you’ll see how it’s trending over the time period you selected.

What is the difference between visits and views?

Visits represent the number of people who looked at your shop or listings. Views tell you the total times people looked at each of your listings. For example if one shopper landed on your listing through search, then viewed five other listings, this would count as one visit and six listing views.

How many times do visits update per day?

Visits data refreshes a few times per day. This lets us to filter out as much bot traffic (traffic from search engines and not actual shoppers) as possible and aggregate your visit data. You can see when your data was last refreshed at the top of the page.

Why are my visits lower by the end of the day?

We filter out bot traffic again at the end of the day, which may lower your visit count.

How shoppers found you breaks down where shoppers who visited your shop came from.

You can see how much of your shop traffic Afri Pearl Collections brought through Afri Pearl Collections search, Afri Pearl Collections app & other Afri Pearl Collections pages, and Afri Pearl Collections marketing & SEO.

You can see how much traffic You brought through other sources, like Direct & other traffic, Social media, Afri Pearl Collections Ads, and Offsite Ads. Learn how to use your stats to boost your social media traffic.

The arrows next to the visits for each traffic source show how traffic for that source changed over the time period you selected.

What’s the difference between advertising clicks on the Afri Pearl Collections Ads dashboard and Afri Pearl Collections Ads visits on shop Stats?

There are a couple of reasons why your Afri Pearl Collections Ads clicks and Afri Pearl Collections Ads visits may be different:

•             Ad clicks count the number of times people click on your ad. If a shopper clicks on the ad twice in a 30-minute period, it would count as one visit.

•             In the How shoppers found you section, Afri Pearl Collections Ads doesn’t include people that visited your shop through ads on the Afri Pearl Collections app.

How do I see the search terms that shoppers used to find my shop?

Click Afri Pearl Collections search under How shoppers found you to see what search terms people used to find your listings.

How are Offsite Ads attributed to orders in my shop?

If a buyer clicks through an offsite ad promoting one of your listings and then purchases from your shop within 30 days, that order(s) will be attributed to the ad. You’re only charged when a shopper clicks on an ad for one of your listings and purchases from your shop. If a shopper clicks on an ad for your item but doesn’t make a purchase within 30 days, you don’t pay a fee. If you make a sale from an ad featuring another seller’s items, then you don’t pay an advertising fee.

You can see how orders are attributed to offsite ads on your Offsite Ads dashboard. On the Offsite ads dashboard, you can see:

•             The ad/listing the buyer clicked on

•             The day the buyer clicked on the ad

•             Which channel or website the buyer clicked through

•             Which listing(s) they ended up purchasing after clicking the ad

•             The order number and date purchased by the buyer

Shoppers viewed your listings

See how many shoppers viewed and ordered your listings. Click All listings to select what type of listing you want to see, like expired or sold out listings. For each listing, you can see:

•             Views

•             Favourites

•             Orders

•             Revenue

Click a metric to order your listings.

For a more detailed look at listing performance, click on an individual item. Only active listings appear in this list.

Listing views are updated in real-time.

What time zone are my Stats shown in?

Hourly stats from today, yesterday, or the past two days are in your own time zone. All other time frames appear in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). You can change your time zone by clicking Update time zone at the bottom of Explore your data.

How to set up Afri Pearl Collections Ads

To set up Afri Pearl Collections Ads:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Marketing.

3.            Click Advertising.

4.            Set your daily budget. This should be the maximum amount you’re willing to spend to advertise your items per day. The default minimum daily budget is 1.00 USD. Remember that you can change your budget at any time.

5.            Click Start advertising.

Where will my ads be shown?

When you are advertising your listings through Afri Pearl Collections Ads, we may show your items throughout Afri Pearl Collections. This includes Pearl Collections Search, Category Pages, Market Pages on both Afri Pearl Collections.com and the Afri Pearl Collections app.

When you advertise with Afri Pearl Collections Ads, your listings stand out in Afri Pearl Collections search. This makes it easier to reach buyers with a higher intent to purchase. With Afri Pearl Collections’ data insights and expertise, we optimize your advertising and expand the reach of your ads on Afri Pearl Collections.

How to select the countries where buyers see your ads

Your ads will only be shown to buyers in countries that you deliver to.

If you use delivery profiles, here’s how to select the countries you deliver to:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Settings.

3.            Click Delivery settings.

4.            Click Delivery profiles.

5.            Click Edit for the profile you want to update.

6.            Add or remove locations.

7.            Click Save Profile.

How to choose which listings to advertise

By default, all your current listings are advertised when you start an Afri Pearl Collections Ads campaign. You can choose to edit or update which listings you want to advertise.

To start or stop advertising individual listings:

1.            View your Afri Pearl Collections Ads page to see your listings and their advertising statuses.

2.            Toggle Status to On or Off.

To start or stop advertising a group of listings:

1.            From Afri Pearl Collections Ads, click Manage advertised listings.

2.            Check the listings you want to advertise. You can select or deselect all at the top of the page; filter by sections or advertising status; or search for listings.

3.            Click Update.

You can change which listings you advertise at any time. Be sure that the listings you advertise follow Afri Pearl Collections’ Advertising & Marketing Policy.

How to change your daily budget

You can set your daily budget, which is the maximum amount of what you’ll spend per day on advertising. Your ads budget is only used for ads on Afri Pearl Collections.

To change your daily budget:

1.            From Afri Pearl Collections Ads, click Manage your budget

2.            Enter your new daily budget.

3.            Click Update.

What determines the limit for my maximum daily budget?

There is a limit to how high you can set your daily budget. To determine the limit for your maximum daily budget, we take into account how much you spend on average, as well as your current payment status and payment history. We’ll increase your maximum daily budget over time if you’re consistently spending your full daily budget.

All sellers start with a maximum daily budget of 25.00 USD, and we recalculate this budget on a weekly basis for sellers enrolled in Afri Pearl Collections Payments and on a monthly basis for sellers not enrolled in Afri Pearl Collections Payments.

If you have advertised in the past, when you restart your campaign, you’ll have the same maximum budget that was in place when you last advertised.

If you notice a drop in your maximum daily budget, it may be because you have an amount due. Paying your amount due will likely raise your maximum budget back up.

What if I want to set a daily budget that is higher than what I’m currently allowed, especially for the Christmas period?

When you first start advertising, you’ll start with a maximum daily budget of 25 USD. This is because we need some time to understand your Afri Pearl Collections Ads spend to determine your maximum daily budget.

If you want to spend above this amount, it’s best to start advertising with your full budget early. This can help raise your maximum daily budget by your desired peak advertising periods.

How am I charged for Afri Pearl Collections Ads?

With Afri Pearl Collections Ads, you only pay when someone clicks on one of your ads. The amount you pay for depends on how many people click on your ads, and how valuable the place where your ad is shown is. Your cost per click can vary for each listing and each time it appears in search results. Learn more about cost per click.

Your costs per click are summed for each day and added to your Payment account the next day. You’ll never spend over your daily budget. Once you’ve been charged for enough clicks to use up your entire daily budget, we will stop showing your ads on Afri Pearl Collections.

How to view your Afri Pearl Collections Ads charges

Your charges for Afri Pearl Collections Ads are displayed under Budget spent on your Afri Pearl Collections Ads page. Your Payment account is also updated daily with ads charges so you can see how much you’re spending on advertising.

To view ads charges on your Payment account:

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Finances.

3.            Click Payment account.

4.            You may see your most recent charges under Recent activities.

5.            To see older ads charges, click Monthly statements at the bottom of the page. You can see the statement for the current month. To view additional statements, click See all monthly statements.

How to view or hide your performance graphs

Graphs show in-depth details for your Afri Pearl Collections Ads performance over time.

To view the graphs:

1.            From Afri Pearl Collections Ads, click More Options.

2.            Click Show graphs.

3.            Adjust the time frame by clicking the menu next to Your stats for.

You can select a preset time frame or choose a custom range of dates. We recommend selecting a time frame of at least 30 days for the most accurate insights into performance trends over time. To hide the graphs again:

1.            From Afri Pearl Collections Ads, click More Options.

1.            On Afri Pearl Collections.com, click Shop Manager.

2.            Click Marketing.

3.            Click Afri Pearl Collections Ads.

4.            Click Other options.

5.            Click Turn off ads.
